After an outstanding season of the Hundred, the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the women's squad for the T20I series against India. The side only has two changes from the preceding lineup that participated in the Commonwealth Games (CWG) in Birmingham last month.

Regular skipper Heather Knight is out due to a hip injury, whereas veteran pacer Katherine Brunt has been rested for this series. Second highest wicket-taker in the Hundred, impressive youngster Lauren Bell earns maiden T20I call-up.

Tammy Beaumont continues to miss out from the squad, which is set to be led by Natalie Sciver.

The T20I matches are scheduled to occur on the 10th, 13th and 15th of September in Chester-le-street, Derby and Bristol, respectively. The ODI series begins on 18th September with the first match in Hove.

England ended CWG in the fourth position after losing out on the Bronze medal against New Zealand by eight wickets.

The Three Lions' head coach Lisa Keightley who will be coaching this side as her final assignment, said,

“I’m excited about finishing my time with this team with a really exciting series against India. They are a great side and we will have to be at our best to win."
