With one eye set on the T20I World Cup, Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced the squad for the ODI series against India. Proteas are scheduled to play three T20Is and as many ODIs against the formidable Indian side that will be coming off after facing the Australian side at home.

The T20I series begins on the 28th of September, whereas the one-day series is scheduled to commence on the 6th October with matches in Lucknow, Ranchi and Delhi.

Skipper Temba Bavuma returns to the fold after successfully recovering from an injury on his left elbow that he sustained against their previous T20I series against India in June, ruling him out of action for a considerable time.

This series will be South Africa's last assignment before the mega-event is bound to happen down-under in Australia. The squad for the World Cup has already been announced, which will also compete against the Men in Blue in the T20I series.

With all the seniors pros returning to the fold, the Rainbow nation will be looking at their chances this time around to perform consistently in lead-up to the prized event.

The African side last toured India in June for 5-match T20I series, where they managed to level it by 2-2 before the final match was washed out due to rain.
