Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) and Guyana Amazon Warriors (GUY) shared one point each after the incessant rain playing a spoilsport in Match 2 of the Women's Caribbean Premier League 2022 at Basseterre.

With the result of this fixture, Knight Riders reached the finals.  The second team will be determined by the winner of the clash between Warriors and Barbados Royals.

Knight Riders posts a fighting total

Batting first, Knight Riders did not get off to a start, as they would have wanted. The right-arm pacer Cherry-Ann Fraser dismissed the openers, Lee-Ann Kirby (8) and Natasha Mclean (20) in quick succession.

The arrival of Deandra Dottin helped TKR to stabilize owing to her mature knock in a crunch situation. The likes of Sune Luus (9) and Kyshona Knight (5) could not provide a notable contribution to the team's total.

Dottin made her way back to the hut for 21 off 18, comprising of a single four and a six. The Kiwi all-rounder Hayley Jensen remained unbeaten on a run-a-ball 25, while Geetika Kodali hit 6* off 12 to finish TKR's innings for a total of 105.

Cherry-Ann Fraser was the pick of the bowlers for the Warriors with three scalps.

In response to the chase, Rashada Williams (7*) and Chamari Athapaththu (2*)  played out two overs, before the rain abandoned the game.

Brief Scores:

Trinbago Knight Riders- 105/6 (20)

Hayley Jensen 25* (25), Deandra Dottin 21 (18)
Cherry-Ann Fraser 3/21
