Following an intense public fallout during a recent IPL match, team captain KL Rahul and owner of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Sanjiv Goenka shared a heartening moment at a dinner hosted by Goenka on May 13. 

The gesture, captured in a widely circulated photograph, symbolizes a reconciliation after an animated exchange between the two garnered attention.

The incident stemmed from LSG's defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 8, where Goenka's apparent dressing down of Rahul drew significant scrutiny. 

Despite posting a formidable total, LSG faced a humiliating loss as Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down the target within 10 overs. The aftermath saw speculation about Rahul's potential resignation as captain, fueled by the heated exchange with Goenka.

However, Assistant Coach Lance Klusener dispelled these rumors, emphasising that the exchange was a passionate discussion between cricket enthusiasts rather than a rift in the team. 

The circulated image of Goenka embracing Rahul signifies a semblance of harmony within the LSG camp. Despite the storm surrounding their interaction, both parties appear unified in their pursuit of success in the ongoing IPL season.

LSG will now face off against Delhi Capitals in 64th match of the IPL 2024 at the Arun Jaitely Stadium on May 14.
