Kamindu Mendis Completes 1000 Test Runs; Equals Don Bradman's Elite Feat

On Friday, September 27, Sri Lanka's Kamindu Mendis scripted history by becoming the fastest Asian to complete 1000 Test runs. Kamindu accomplished this feat against New Zealand in the ongoing second Test match at the Galle International Stadium.
Kamindu has taken the world by storm, taking just 13 innings to complete 1000 Test runs. With an 182-run unbeaten knock in the first innings of the 2nd Test, Mendis reached the milestone of 1000 Test runs.
Mendis Equals Don Bradman's Record
He equalled Don Bradman's record of completing 1000 runs in 13 innings to become the second-fastest cricketer to reach this milestone. Overall, Mendis is second on the list behind Herbery Sutcliffe and Everton Weekes, who took just 12 innings.
