In a recent news, Yashasvi Jaiswal has written to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) seeking No Objection Certificate (NOC) to shift his domestic team from Mumbai to Goa starting from the next season. However it is important to mention that the reason behind this move is not confirmed yet. But according to Indian Express, this change is due to personal reasons.

According to reports, the GCA has offered Jaiswal the captaincy, which is a crucial reason for his decision to leave, as he would not have that opportunity of captaincy in Mumbai due to the presence of multiple star players.

“He has sought a NOC from us and has cited that the reason for his move to Goa as personal,” theindianexpress.com quoted a source in the MCA as saying.

Jaiswal Seeks NOC From MCA To Represent Goa

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been a part of Mumbai's cricketing system since his U-19 days, making an instant impact with his remarkable performances. He burst onto the scene after scoring a double century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

His stellar performances for Mumbai in domestic cricket earned him a spot in the Indian national team. His move to Goa marks a significant shift, particularly as Goa has recently achieved success by qualifying for the knock-out stages.

It is important to note that earlier this year Jaiswal was also excluded from India's Champions Trophy squad. However he was included in the list of non-travelling substitutes.

In February, Jaiswal was drafted into Mumbai's Ranji squad for their semifinal clash with Vidarbha but he opted out on the eve of the game, citing ankle pain. This absence raised questions about his future with the team, and now, with his request for NOC to represent Goa, it seems Jaiswal is looking to turn the page with Mumbai.
