Former Australian batter Mark Waugh included Jasprit Bumrah in his list of top five T20I players in the world right now ahead of the upcoming T20I World Cup 2022 starting next month in Australia.

Speaking on the latest episode of The ICC Review, the Australian legend chose the five players he would select in his World T20I team. The first on the list of Waugh’s top five T20 cricketers was India’s frontline speedster Jasprit Bumrah. The cricketer turned commentator termed Bumrah as the all-format bowler and opined that the Indian speedster will shine for his country in the upcoming T20I World Cup 2022.

"I think he's a fantastic bowler in all formats, actually. His ability to get wickets in T20 cricket is key. He can bowl at the death and he can bowl up front."

Next on Waugh’s list was Pakistan’s pace sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi. Waugh continued with his interest in bowlers and named Afghanistan star Rashid Khan as his next pick. After naming the three top notch bowlers, Waugh went with his only specialised top-order batter in the form of England’s white-ball skipper Jos Buttler. The other specialist batter in the list was Australia's star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell.

Bumrah is counted among the world’s top fast bowlers and regularly features in all three formats of the game for India. He has been a consistent performer for India and he will be one of the key players for them in the T20I World Cup 2022.
