Afghanistan's premier batter Sediqullah Atal has had an impressive international career so far. The stylish left-handed batter has looked sublime against Australia, playing a vital knock in the ongoing Champions Trophy affair at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium.
Is Sediqullah Atal Playing IPL 2025 Season?
Afghanistan made a remarkable comeback in the Champions Trophy, as they stunned England with a clinical victory following their defeat in the first game against South Africa. However, they faced real test when they opted to bat under overcast conditions in Lahore.
The decision backfired on the Afghans instantly, as Spencer Johnson castled Rahmanullah Gurbaz with an absolute ripper. However Sediqullah Atal steadied the ship with the in-form Ibrahim Zadran, adding 67 runs for the second wicket.
Atal is a promising Afghan batter, who has featured in eighteen international matches, including eight ODIs, one Test and nine T20 Internationals. However, the stylish southpaw won't play the upcoming IPL 2025 season as he failed to bag an IPL contract.
Sequllah Atal's IPL 2025 Auction Price
Sediqullah Atal had a base price of INR 75 lakhs, but was unable to crack a deal in the IPL mega auction last year. With most of the teams prioritising IPL and international experience, Atal missed out on an IPL contract in the event.
Can Sediqullah Atal Still Play IPL 2025?
Despite going unsold in the auction, Atal can still be a part of the IPL 2025, as the franchises can sign him as a replacement player if an injury concern emerges.
