Karnataka is taking Vidarbha in the final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 final at the Reliance Ground in Vadodara, India. The match is poised at a delicate stage with Vidarbha fighting hard to climb a mountain of runs posted by Karnataka.

Vidarbha won the toss for the game and opted to field first in the game. Karnataka did not have a great start to their innings but their middle order stood up to the challenge and delivered the counter punch. Ravichandran Smaran scored a brilliant Hundred along with K Shrijith (78 off 74) and Abhinav Manohar (79 off 42) making valuable contributions. At the end of their 50 overs, Karnataka posted a mammoth 348/6 at the end of their 50 overs.

Dhruv Shorey Keeps Vidarbha's Hope Alive

Vidarbha would have depended a lot on their hero of the tournament, Karun Nair to deliver big in the chase. However, Nair managed to score only 27 runs off 31 deliveries before he was cleaned up by Prasidh Krishna. After the departure of Nair, the onus has been on Dhruv Shorey, the Vidarbha opener to take the team close to the target or past it.

He has already gone past his half-century and is keeping the hopes of Vidarbha alive as he paces towards a crucial century. Dhruv Shorey displayed great technique and temperament in the knock and looked like a player for the big occasion. With Shorey playing such an important knock, the question arises which team is Shorey playing for in IPL 2025? What is his price if he is part of any team in the tournament?

Dhruv Shorey In IPL

Dhruv Shorey was a part of the CSK side in IPL 2018 and 2019. However, he played only a couple of matches for them during the two years and scored only 13 runs.

 As far as his involvement in IPL 2025 is concerned, he registered in the auction at a base price of ₹ 30 Lakhs. However, he was not a part of the final list of 574 players who went under the hammer during the two-day mega event of the IPL 2025 auction. Thus, Shorey is not a part of any IPL team in the upcoming edition.
