Australia's Big Bash superstar Ben McDermott has withdrawn his name from the upcoming IPL auction. The 28-year-old registered himself in ₹50 Lakh category and now, will no longer be involved in the cash-rich extravaganza.

In his place, Shivam Singh from Delhi has been drafted in which keeps the total players in the auction to 405.

While McDermott's form hasn't been impressive in this edition's BBL, he was still expected to fetch somewhere around 3-4 Crores as a result of him being a genuine batting-wicketkeeping option.

Previously, he went unsold in the last auction even after being player of the tournament in the season.

His withdrawal means that the total number of players from Australia will now drop from 21 to 20.

Moreover, the reason for his pull out is still unknown.
