IPL 2022 | RR vs GT | Match Preview, Predictions, Probable XI, Fantasy XI

Rajasthan Royals will look to keep moving with their winning chariot when they take on the Gujarat Titans in the 24th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at Dr DY Patil Stadium on Thursday.

Rajasthan Royals have won three games while defending a total this season and are currently placed at the top of the points table with a fantastic net run rate of +0.951. After their thrilling 3-run victory over Lucknow Super Giants, they must be riding high on confidence.

Jos Buttler and Shimron Hetmyer have been their main batters, and RR would be expecting more from them. However, Rajasthan's bowling has been terrific in all the four games they have played. While Trent Boult kept the batters on the backfoot, Yuzvendra Chahal, on the other hand, has been pretty consistent with the wickets.

Prasidh Krishna looked impressive with the ball as well. In the previous game, Kuldeep Sen, who made his debut for Rajasthan against Lucknow, bowled the fantastic final over and helped the Men in Pink get off the finish line.

Rajasthan will be aiming for the same consistency from their batters and bowlers going forward into the tournament.

On the other hand, Gujarat Titans tasted their first defeat of the season in their previous game against Sunrisers Hyderabad as Kane Williamson and Co thrashed them by eight wickets. The Titans are placed at the fourth spot on the points table with three wins and one loss.

Gujarat's batting heavily relies on Shubman Gill as their overseas batters aren't contributing much with the bat. Hardik Pandya, who was once known for his brutal hitting, is playing more like an anchor in the team.

However, the team boasts of one of the deadliest bowling trios in the tournament. Mohammed Shami, Lockie Ferguson and Rashid Khan possess the abilities to dismantle any batting lineup on a given day, and it will be interesting to see how the Royals tackle them.

With a good surface on offer in Mumbai, a plethora of boundaries are on the cards, considering the kind of batting lineup these sides possess.
