IPL 2022 | KL Rahul fined yet again for breaching Code of Conduct

Last night, the Lucknow Super Giants vs Royal Challengers Bangalore clash proved to be an expensive affair for the LSG skipper KL Rahul. After losing the match against RCB by 18 runs, Captain KL Rahul was slammed with a breach of the IPL Code of Conduct. He was subsequently fined 20% of his match fees.

According to an Indian Premier League official, Rahul admitted to a 'level 1 offence' and, in due course, accepted the sanction.

Surprisingly, this is not the first time KL Rahul has been fined for a breach in this IPL season. In the Lucknow Super Giants game against Mumbai Indians, the skipper was fined a hefty sum of INR 12 lakhs for a slow over-rate.

Besides Rahul, the Lucknow Super Giants all-rounder Marcus Stoinis was left with a warning for also violating the IPL Code of Conduct.

Allegedly, Stoinis has prescribed a warning for arguing with an umpire during the game against Mumbai Indians. In an attempt to hit a big shot, Stoinis got bowled over by a Josh Hazelwood delivery.

The ball had nicked Stoinis' bat before hitting the stumps, and the all-rounder lost his cool for the same and hurled foul words at the umpire. The instance was recorded on the stump mic. The aggression came as a result of Chris Gaffney (umpire) not pronouncing the previous delivery a 'wide ball'.

Lucknow Super Giants' next match is scheduled for 24 April at Wankhede Stadium, where they will contest the Mumbai Indians.
