IPL 2022 | Chennai Super Kings reveal their new jersey

With the start of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) just three days away, defending champions have unveiled their new-look jersey on Wednesday (23 March).

Four-time IPL winners Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have revealed a new-look jersey for the edition. Retained CSK stars, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja and Ruturaj Gaikwad were seen donning the brand new jersey in the video shared on the franchise's various official social media handles. The jersey features a camouflage design on the shoulders, four stars at the top, the franchise's logo, and sponsors.

Prior to the 2021 season of IPL, the second most successful franchise added camouflage design on the shoulders of the jersey as a tribute to the Indian Armed forces, while the stars on the jersey highlight their four-time IPL triumph. In addition, the roaring lion has also been placed at the left corner of the new-look jersey.

After the unveiling ceremony of the brand new jersey of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Executive Vice-President (sales and marketing), TVS Srichakra LTD, cited, "This is a high impact partnership, as big as it gets within the IPL opportunities. We are in a growth phase and with the champions by our side, we are looking to catapult our brand recall, salience, and hence business to the next level."

CSK CEO KS Viswanathan said, "Chennai Super Kings team is pleased and proud to carry the logo of a trusted, successful and legacy brand: TVS Eurogrip, on its jersey. As a mark of respect to our soldiers and our captain's association with the army, we introduced the camouflage on the shoulders last year. It also gelled very well with the yellow. So we have added camouflage at the back of the jersey now."

Mr. Arvind Singh, COO of TVS Srichakra Ltd, mentioned, "I think the best part of this association is the value compatibility of both brands. TVS Eurogrip is all about high-performance, quality tyres, tyre technology that makes the rider the most confident on the road and Chennai Super Kings have been consistently delivering high performance. As principal sponsors, we are sure that the association with Chennai Super Kings would lead to winning strides for both partners."

Meanwhile, the four-time champions Chennai Super Kings will begin their IPL 2022 campaign against the runners-up of the last season, Kolkata Knight Riders in quest of their 5th IPL title on 26 March at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai,
