The Indian team has revealed its jersey for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, and one unexpected detail has grabbed everyone’s attention – the name ‘Pakistan’ printed on it.

As the tournament approaches, fans were eagerly waiting to see the team’s new kit. However, the design surprised many, as it included the name of the host nation, Pakistan, something rarely seen on an Indian jersey before.

The excitement reached new heights when captain Rohit Sharma, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, power-hitter Hardik Pandya, and young pacer Arshdeep Singh posed in the fresh new jersey. But soon, social media was flooded with reactions – not just about the design but because of the presence of ‘Pakistan’ on the kit.

The official Champions Trophy 2025 logo is printed on the jersey, and since Pakistan is hosting the event, its name appears as part of the logo. Many fans were taken aback, as they assumed India might avoid including Pakistan’s imprint on their kits.

Why Is ‘Pakistan’ On India’s Jersey?

The controversy escalated when the ICC shared official pictures of Indian players receiving awards while wearing the same jersey. This confirmed that the design was not a mistake but an official requirement.

To clarify the situation, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) stepped in. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia stated that the Indian team must follow ICC rules, making it clear that they had no choice but to include the tournament’s official logo, which features the host nation’s name.

India’s Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule

India will kick off its campaign on February 20 against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Stadium. But the biggest showdown will be the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan match on February 23. The team will then face New Zealand in their final group-stage game on March 2.
