The Indian team is all set to embark on another tough journey after the World Cup 2023 heartbreak, as the 'Men in Blue' caravan will travel to the rainbow nation, South Africa for a full tour that starts with a T20I series on 10th of December.

The T20I series will be a three-match affair, which will be followed by an ODI series and the tour will conclude with an all-important two-match Test series which comes under the ambit of World Test Championship cycle 2023-2025. The Indian team for the white-ball leg of the tournament will be most likely declared on Thursday, 29th of November while the selection of a Test team is likely to be done later.

Indian team is all set to be without their two biggest stars, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in both T20I and ODI series. Also, along with these two, the likes of Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja are also expected to miss the white-ball leg, and it remains to be seen who leads the Indian T20I team in the absence of Hardik Pandya, who had led the team since the 2022 T20 World Cup.

Suryakumar Yadav is leading the Indian team in the ongoing T20I series against the Aussies, and he seems to be a frontrunner at the moment. The ODI captaincy might go to KL Rahul and there might be plenty of young faces, especially in the white-ball leg of the tournament.
