Imad Wasim joins United, Hasan Ali moves to Kings

Karachi Kings legend Imad Wasim, who recently announced his retirement from international cricket, has been traded into Islamabad Unit for the upcoming PSL 2024 season. The all-rounder had joined the Kings camp in PSL’s inaugural chapter back in 2016, and even led them to title glory in the 2020 edition of the tournament.

Wasim was swapped with Hasan Ali, who will be ending his three-season association with Islamabad United to join Karachi Kings next year. The exchange was made between the two franchises during the PSL 2024 player trade on November 29.

The PSL 2024 season, also marking the ninth season of the tournament, is slated to commence on February 8. Apart from the ongoing trading window, the player’s draft will be taking place on December 14 next month in Lahore.

While Imad Wasim has already made an exit from international cricket, Hasan Ali is set to engage in a grueling Test tour of Australia in his lead-up to the 2024 PSL season. The speedster was recently included in Pakistan’s 18-member squad for a three-match Test series ‘Down Under’, which will commence on December 14 at the iconic Perth Stadium. The matches will be forming a part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle.
