On Sunday, India will clash with New Zealand in the all-important final of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy. The high-octane game will take place at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Meanwhile, according to a Times Of India (TOI) report, the pitch for the India vs Pakistan encounter will be reused for the final on Sunday.

IND vs PAK Centre Wicket To Conduct Champions Trophy Final

The report states that the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) ensured a two-week break for the surface, which was used for the India vs Pakistan game, as it will host the final of the competition.

The groundsmen watered the entire playing square, which seems a bit tired after hosting several matches, including the ILT20 fixtures, in recent times. It's worth mentioning that all four strips have been thoroughly rotated throughout the tournament, hosting matches at an interval of two weeks.

Impact Of Dubai's Hot Weather On IND vs NZ Match

It's also mentioned in the report that Dubai has recently witnessed heatwaves, which might impact the playing conditions in the finale. Generally, with the sun beating down, the wicket gets dried up, bringing the spinners into play and making things difficult for the batters.

Thus, the conditions could suit India more than New Zealand, as the former have a formidable spin attack.

With hot weather prevailing in the city, the ground staff have taken care of the playing strip, covering it in the afternoon. The first look of the pitch will be released on Saturday evening. All in all, we can expect another cracking battle between bat and ball in what is anticipated to be a riveting contest on Sunday.
