GG-W vs DC-W: Captains' Thoughts

After winning the toss, GG-W skipper Ashleigh Gardner stated that they would bowl, keeping the dew in mind. She also opened up on her captaincy stint while highlighting the impact of Beth Mooney and Harleen Deol for the Giants in the tournament.

"We are going to have a bowl. It was a pretty good surface last time. But we did well with the ball. Hopefully we can do that again. There was also some dew in the second half last time around. So that has also been taken into the equation. No changes to the team. I have really enjoyed captaincy. Different people have stood up at different times. Mooney and her partnership with Harleen was fantastic. But the most exciting part has been the bowling. Hopefully we can win this game," Ashleigh Gardner stated.

On the other hand, DC-W skipper Meg Lanning showed faith on her troops, backing them to haunt the Giants collectively on Ekana's batting-friendly surface.

"I think it looks a very good batting surface. The teams that have put good totals on the board have made it difficult for the teams chasing. We got back to training after taking a couple of days off. The girls have done well to switch on during games. Looking forward to this game. We have got one change tonight. Titas comes into the side in place of Charani," Meg Lanning said.
