The England Cricket Board (ECB) has revealed a blockbuster home schedule for the 2026 summer. The England Men's and Women's sides will host five international teams across different formats. The Ben Stokes-led Test team will face off against New Zealand, and Pakistan in a two-match Test series.

Meanwhile, the white-ball side, led by Harry Brook, will take on India and Sri Lanka in ODIs and T20I series. The home summer will also witness the T20 World Cup being hosted in England from June 12 to July 15. Also, the Nat Sciver-led side will host India, New Zealand, and Ireland in a packed home summer, and the schedule also includes a one-off Test vs India Women's team.

Currently, the Indian team is playing a 5-match Test series in England, but with the next ODI World Cup in 2027, the Asian Giants will once again tour England to get their combinations right for the World Cup.

India's first white-ball England tour since 2022

This will be India's first white-ball tour of England since the famous series in 2022. Three years ago, under Rohit Sharma's guidance, India lost the one-off Test, but captured the ODI and the T20I series.

However, this time around, the Indian team will have fresh faces as they will look to dominate the English side before the World Cup commences in 2027.

India to play rare Test match vs England Women

This will be India Women's first Test match in England since the 2021 red-ball game. In that contest, the visiting Indian side were in a dire situation, and were on the brink of a defeat before a lower-order resistance from Sneh Rana, and Taniya Bhatia, resuced the team from a tricky situation, and bailed the team from the jaws of defeat.
