As the cricketing fraternity gears up in anticipation of witnessing one of the greatest World Cup encounters this Sunday, former cricketing legends have come forward to voice their suggestions about the anticipated winner of the ODI World Cup 2023 final. India and Australia are waiting in readiness to lock horns with each other at the Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19.

India have not put a foot wrong and remain the only side to remain unbeaten in this year’s World Cup competition. The Men in Blue have won 10 consecutive games on the trot and have annihilated every opposition that they encountered on their way. Moreover, the two-time champions also managed to bury the ghosts of the 2019 semi-final defeat by thrashing the Blackcaps by a whopping 70 runs on Wednesday.

Australia on the other hand, did not get the best of the starts and lost two successive games at the start of the tournament, one of which was against India. Nevertheless, the five-time champions staged a remarkable turnaround towards the latter phase of the tournament scripting some inspirational wins against Pakistan, Afghanistan, and South Africa.

Michael Bevan, a former Australian cricketer, recently presented his individual perspective on the highly anticipated outcome of the ODI World Cup 2023 final between India and Australia. Whilst speaking to ANI, Bevan points out that India are clear favorites but recognizes his side’s potential to turn things around at any point during the game.

“India are the clear favourite but the potential for Australia to win the ODI World Cup 2023 is also there. Whoever wins the toss will be going to bat first, since it is a good batting team. After a slow start in the tournament, they have made a tremendous comeback. We have two teams playing in the final who are at their top form. The Australians have a lot of talents and have players who can make a difference at any point in a game. I believe the Aussies need to improve their batting.”

Bevan believes that Australia has the required firepower and realizes that they need to bat well against a lethal Indian bowling attack to give themselves a strong chance of winning the World Cup.
