IND VS SA | 3rd T20I | Preview, Prediction, Probable XI, CREX XI

Team India will expect a better and improved performance from their players as they conspire a comeback in the third T20 of the five-match series to avoid a series loss against high-flying South Africa. The match is scheduled to be played on Tuesday (June 14) at Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

South Africa outsmarted Rishabh Pant and Co by four wickets in a one-sided affair in the second T20 International on Sunday to go 2-0 up in the five-match series. A brilliant bowling effort from South African bowlers helped the visitors restrict India to 148/6 in 20 overs despite Dinesh Karthik's late fireworks (30* off 21 balls).

Apart from Karthik, Shreyas Iyer (40 off 35) and Ishan Kishan (34 off 21) were the other top scorers for the hosts as the majority of the Indian batters had no answers to Proteas' bowling.

Anrich Nortje (2/36) was the most successful bowler for South Africa, while Kagiso Rabada (1/15), Wayne Parnell (1/23), and Dwaine Pretorius (1/40) and Keshav Maharaj (1/12) did their part well.

Coming to chase 149, Heinrich Klaasen toyed with the Indian bowlers, smacking 46-ball 81, which is also his best in his T20I career, to lead South Africa to a 4-wicket win over India.

Apart from Klaasen, captain Temba Bavuma and David Miller also contributed well with the bat, scoring 35 and 20*, respectively. For India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave a glimpse of his old self and finished the inning with a four-wicket haul.

Heading into the 3rd T20I, the Temba Bavuma-led side will aim for a win to take an unassailable lead in the five-match series. India, meanwhile, can't afford to lose this match as winning it will help them keep the series alive.

IRE vs IND | Sitanshu Kotak, Sairaj Bahutule, Munish Bali to accompany VVS Laxman on Ireland tour

VVS Laxman will accompany the National Cricket Academy (NCA) trio of Sitanshu Kotak, Sairaj Bahutule and Munish Bali for the Ireland tour. The 'Men in Blue' are scheduled to tour Ireland for a two-match T20I series towards the end of June. Batting coach Sitanshu Kotak was a part of the India 'A' coaching staff for the South African tour last year. One of the most prolific spinners in first-class cricket, Sairaj Bahutule, was the bowling coach for the India U-19 side during the successful World Cup campaign in West Indies. Munish Bali joins the staff as the fielding coach. A whole new coaching staff has been appointed, as the senior Indian squad is scheduled to play the postponed fifth Test in England. Head coach Rahul Dravid will be with the senior team for the final Test and the limited-overs series. Laxman is the current director of cricket at NCA and will assume the role of a head coach for the Ireland tour in the absence of Dravid. Laxman has quite a bit of credibility under his belt, given that he was a part of the support staff for India's U-19 World Cup triumph earlier this year. He has also been involved in coaching positions with the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The two T20Is against Ireland are scheduled to be played in Dublin on 26th and 28th June. The absence of the senior pros will present an opportunity to the youngsters to showcase their talent on the international stage. The squad for the series is yet to be announced, but one can expect to see several new names to feature in this list. The Men in Blue last toured Ireland in 2018 for a two-match T20I series. The visitors dominated the proceedings, winning both matches. However, Ireland could have a much better chance this time, given that India will be fielding a second-fiddle side.
