ICC Cricket CWC 2022 | Ellyse Perry ruled out of Bangladesh game due to back spasm

Superstar Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry has been ruled out of her sides' final league-stage game against Bangladesh due to injury. However, she is in line to recover from her back spasm before the semi-final clash.

Perry suffered spasms while tumbling on the boundary line during Australia's last fixture against the South Africans.

The all-rounder was forced out of the field and did not come out to bat during the run-chase.

Australia's physiotherapist Kate Beerworth said that the seam-bowling all-rounder is steadily recovering following the treatment.

"She won't play tomorrow but we expect that she will be available for the semi-final," Beerworth told reporters on Thursday as quoted by ESPNcricinfo'.

Having won six out of six games, Australia have been a ruthless juggernaut thus far this World Cup.

Their last two victories, in particular, have highlighted the chasm between them and the rest of the nations as they chased down 270+ totals against India and South Africa with disdain.

Australia will lock horns with Bangladesh in their bid to make it 7-0 in Wellington on March 25, before the knockout games from March 30.
