Suzie Bates has expressed admiration for her fellow Oval Invincibles players for producing strong performances and helping them to lift the Hundred Women 2022 title.

The Finals of the tournament witnessed Invincibles containing the Southern Brave to a low total of 101, with Shabnim Ismail and Alice Capsey being the pick of the bowlers.

Although the in-form Lauren Winfield Hill and Bates could not get the team off to a good start, the pair of Marizanne Kapp and Capsey held their composure to take the team home.

In this regard, Bates hailed Capsey's all-round prowess to propel the team to successive title victories. The 18-year-old slammed 118 runs and scalped eight wickets in six appearances.

"Alice Capsey has been a delight to watch from other end, it's nice to have her on the same side, as I would hate to face her," said Bates.

The 34-year-old heaped praise on the other three foreigners (Marizanne Kapp, Dane Van Niekerk, Shabnim Ismail) in Invincibles line-up, who are all from South Africa.

In particular, Bates hailed the quality of Kapp, who has been ice-cool to guide the team to victories in the 2022 season. In four matches, the 32-year-old contributed 126 runs and took four wickets.

"This is my first season here, these South Africans are fierce and competitive, good to have them by my side, they train hard and they produce results.

"Kapp is just the best player in the world and she has proved it time and again with these type of knocks."
