Hales Joins Russell! LA Knight Riders Unleash Explosive Overseas Line-Up For MLC 2025

The Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) franchise has unveiled an explosive line-up of overseas T20 stars for the upcoming third edition of Major League Cricket (MLC). Apart from retaining captain Sunil Narine along with two other international talents, the LAKR also made seven additional recruitments by Saturday, May 17.

As fans brace themselves up for the MLC 2025 season in a couple of months’ time, here is a look at the entire overseas line-up of the LAKR franchise.

LAKR overseas players for MLC 2025

Back in February earlier this year, the LAKR franchise retained captain Sunil Narine, explosive all-rounder Andre Russell and Australian fast bowler Spencer Johnson during the MLC 2025 player’s draft.

By May 17, the LAKR management had roped in seven new overseas players, in the form of four West Indies cricketers, one T20 World Cup winning Englishman, an Australian leggie and a thunderbolt South African paceman.

The LAKR franchise finished fifth on the MLC 2024 points table last year by securing just two wins from seven matches. The year before, i.e., during the inaugural edition of MLC, LAKR registered a solitary win to finish at the bottom of the six-team standings.

The LAKR franchise will now commence its MLC 2025 campaign with a match against last year’s runners-up San Francisco Unicorns. The match will be hosted by the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland on June 14.
