Kuldeep Yadav lost his temper after a decision went against him during a recent IPL match against Gujarat Titans (GT) on May 18, Sunday, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. During the game, DC needed a breakthrough as the GT openers, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, were building a strong partnership.

Kuldeep Yadav Loses His Cool Against GT

The 30-year-old UP spinner was brought in to bowl the eight over of the GT's innings and delivered a well-placed ball to Sai Sudharsan, who missed the shot and was hit on the pads. Kuldeep quickly appealed for LBW, but the on-field umpire disagreed.

Surely, after that DC captain Axar Patel decided to review. The replays showed that the ball was in line with the stumps and the impact was also in line, but the ball-tracking showed it was too close to call, leaving the final decision to the umpire. This angered Kuldeep, especially since the pitch had been flat, making it hard to get wickets.

DC were left frustrated, as they couldn’t break the partnership and both Sudharsan and Gill went on to score fifties, helping GT chase down the target of 200. DC had earlier posted a strong total, thanks to KL Rahul’s unbeaten 112, which anchored the innings.

However, the visitors dominated the chase, with Sudharsan and Gill leading them to victory.

And with the loss, Delhi Capitals were left in deep trouble as their chances of qualifying for the playoffs now depend on winning their remaining two matches. On the other hand, GT secured their spot in the playoffs with this win, alongside Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings.

Meanwhile, DC, Mumbai Indians, and Lucknow Super Giants are now competing for the last remaining playoff spot.
