Kohli And Ishant's Reunion!
Virat Kohli and Ishant's bond dates back to their Under-17 cricket days in West Delhi. Recalling their experiences, earlier Ishant shared, "We used to play Under-17s together in Kolkata and of course, we did not have much money. There we would eat egg rolls and have soft drinks after practice, and enjoy it. I've seen that side of Virat."
During the practice session and also in the dugouts, the two friends were seeing together as they shared a hug and a casual chat before the match commenced.
Virat Kohli vs Ishant Sharma?
In the IPL arena, the Kohli vs. Ishant matchup has been a captivating subplot where the RCB star has particularly emerged victorious. From 2008 to 2024, Ishant Sharma managed to get Kohli out for only 1 time out of all the matches he faced.
Meanwhile, Kohli thrashed Sharma for 112 runs at a strike rate of 147.4. He managed to hit Sharma 12 boundaries and 5 sixes from the 76 balls he faced.
Nevertheless, in the ongoing match, Sharma didn't have to face Kohli as he was dismissed early inside the second over from the delivery of Arshad Khan.
Virat Kohli Disappoints Chinnaswamy Crowd
Virat Kohli's dismissal sent shockwaves through the Chinnaswamy crowd. Facing a short delivery aimed at his body, Kohli instinctively hung back and attempted to whip the ball behind square on the leg side. However, instead of finding the gap, he struck it directly to Prasidh Krishna, stationed at deep backward square leg.
The fielder didn’t have to move an inch as the ball landed straight into his hands, making for a straightforward catch. The crowd, expecting a trademark Kohli masterclass, was left in stunned silence as their talisman walked back early, dealing an immediate setback to RCB who is now reeling at 13/2 in 2.2 overs.
