Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar seems to be following on the footsteps of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma by expanding his roots in the world of business. The speedster recently launched a new sports brand 'DNINE Sports', less than a year after launching his own fantasy sports app.

Deepak Chahar has launched his own sports brand 'DNINE Sports', which is incorporated under the entity LCDC Athletics Private Limited. Chahar and his father, Lokendra Singh Chahar, are the company's co-founders, and the cricketer recently claimed that they are not looking for any external investments.

The 31-year-old has stated that his company could potentially see a breakeven for its athletic shoes business by the end of its second year. The company's shoes, meanwhile, will be made through contract manufacturers based in Dehradun.

Apart from shoes, Deepak Chahar's DNINE Sports will also be retailing health supplements made by a third party, Weolive. While speaking with the Mint, the star Indian cricketer said:

“The idea was to create affordable products for young and upcoming athletes. A lot of young cricketers cannot afford to spend on good quality products and that can impact their game and even cause injuries.”

Chahar's DNINE Sports sponsored several first-class cricketers and IPL players during this year's Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season and will be looking to expand itself next year.

Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar last featured in a competitive game back in May for CSK at the IPL 2023 final. So far, the cricketer has played 13 ODIs and 24 T20I matches for Team India since his international debut in July 2018.
