In his final Test innings, Australia's explosive opener David Warner slammed a match-winning 57 against Pakistan in the third and final Test at Sydney on Day 4, where Pat Cummins and Co. achieved an eight-wicket victory and whitewashed Shah Masood-led XI.

Chasing 130 on a tricky pitch, Warner brought the attack to the Pakistan bowlers and stitched a 112-run second-wicket stand before falling to off-spinner Sajid Khan.

Warner, playing his final Test for Australia, received thunderous applause from his hometown crowd, who came in large numbers to witness the legend for the last time in whites. After the match, Warner shook hands with Pakistan players and had a wholesome moment with pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi, with whom the opener shares a fun bond.

The 37-year-old was seen imitating Afridi's iconic post-wicket celebration while catching up with Pakistan's Test vice-captain, who was rested from the Sydney encounter citing workload issues.

In his final Test series, Warner slammed 299 runs with one hundred and as many fifty, taking his final 112-red-ball tally to 8,786 runs, which include 26 centuries and 37 half-centuries.

Furthermore, Pakistan skipper Masood also gifted Warner a signed Babar Azam jersey as a farewell gesture.

Warner will next be seen playing for Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League, apart from turning up for Dubai Capitals in International League T20 2024 and finally in Indian Premier League 2024 for Delhi Capitals.
