The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), on Tuesday (August 23) confirmed that the former Bermudian cricketer David Hemp isn't interested in extending his two-year contract as head coach of Pakistan women's cricket team.
Hemp's contract will expire in the upcoming month of October and the Pakistan Cricket Board will soon announce his replacement.
The 51-year-old has cited his intentions to spend more time with his family as a reason behind his decision on giving up on his coaching duties.
“I have enjoyed living in Pakistan and working with the women cricketers, but it has also been difficult on me and my young family as I have been unable to spend enough time with them like any other father."
"After consulting my family, I have conveyed this difficult decision to the Pakistan Cricket Board, which has very graciously understood my situation and accepted my decision."
