The Manipal Education and Medical Group-owned Manipal Tigers franchise made some crucial signings on Monday. They included the likes of South African spinner Imran Tahir, West Indies all-rounder Daren Sammy, and New Zealand batter Corey Anderson to their squad for the Legends League Cricket.

The second edition of the renowned T20 tournament will kick start on September 16 with an encounter between India Maharajas and World Giants in Kolkata. Manipal Tigers will be making their debut this season under the leadership of Harbhajan Singh.

Legends League Cricket CEO Raman Raheja seemed delighted with the signings as he heaped praises on the three players. Raheja said as quoted by India Today,

"The team wanted players who are effective T20 players and one could not have shortlisted better names. All the three cricketers have extensively played T20 cricket for their respective countries and have match-winning contributions for various other current T20 League across the world."
