The third place playoff fixture of the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2022 will witness England taking on New Zealand on Sunday (August 7).

England sealed the semi-finals spot with wins in all league matches and stood first in the Group B Points Table. However, the Nat Sciver-led side lost by four runs against India in the penultimate stage.

The hosts will certainly look to produce a strong fightback to win the bronze medal in the showpiece event. Furthermore, they will be a confident side ahead of this game due to their dominance against New Zealand in the league stage.

New Zealand finished second in Group B with two victories in three appearances. They could not defend their total of 144 in the semi-final fixture against Australia. The White Ferns team undeniably have the ability to make a major turnaround and secure a medal.

It will be an interesting contest between both the talented teams looking to end their CWG campaign with a podium finish.
