New Zealand cricketer Devon Conway, known for his stellar performances on the pitch, is currently grappling with a heart breaking loss. Conway and his wife, Kim Watson, recently shared the devastating news of losing their unborn child. Kim Watson bravely took to Instagram to express her feelings, stating, "I’m not the only one who has gone through the tough times of a miscarriage."
She emphasized the importance of opening up about such experiences to support others facing similar heartbreaks.
The couple, who tied the knot in April 2022 after a long-term relationship, had been eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child in 2024. However, tragedy struck, casting a shadow over their joyous expectations. Despite their grief, Kim Watson conveyed hope for the future, expressing, "We will have our miracle one day."
Devon Conway, currently engaged in national duties against South Africa in a Test series, faced a challenging time both personally and professionally. In the first Test, which New Zealand convincingly won by 281 runs, Conway's performance with the bat was subdued, scoring 1 and 29 runs in the respective innings.
While the second Test match of the series is set to be played at Seddon Park in Hamilton on February 13, there is no official confirmation about his availability in the match. As Conway navigates through this difficult period, it's uncertain whether he'll participate in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL 2024).
The 32-year-old cricketer, who played for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), might opt to skip the tournament to be with his family during this time of mourning.
