Former cricketer, Lance Klusener, who was the front-runner for the coaching role withdrew his name as he wants to focus on his work in T20 leagues.

However, it is still unclear which coach will take up which format, but whoseoever gets the white-ball role will start with immediate effect.

The Test coach will still have a reduced workload for now as the Proteas look to cement a place in the WTC final.

Both Conrad and Walter have worked extensively in the South African domestic setup and will be looking to pass on the same knowledge to the current crop of players.
