Cricket Scotland announces squad for New Zealand white-ball series

Cricket Scotland has announced an 18-player squad for their upcoming limited-overs series against New Zealand. Kyle Coetzer, who recently announced his retirement from T20Is, will only be available for the one-off ODI in Edinburg.

The cricket board has added Michael Jones, Oliver Hairs and Craig Wallace to Scotland’s 15-player line-up that participated in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 fixtures earlier this month.

Scotland coach Shane Burger has expressed his confidence ahead of the New Zealand series. He said:

“We certainly respect a team like New Zealand but we don’t fear them. The opportunity this brings right now is for us to test our skills against a really good skillset coming back at us. We are excited to see our players play against one of the best teams in the world in Scotland and get our home fans around at the Grange, and it would be great to see as many fans down there as possible.”
