Pakistan all-rounder Aamir Jamal shared the heartbreaking news of his newborn daughter’s passing on social media. The 28-year-old cricketer took to Instagram to post an emotional picture of himself holding his baby’s tiny hand.
Jamal has represented Pakistan in 8 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 6 T20Is. The right-arm pacer has taken 21 wickets in Test cricket and 5 wickets in limited-overs formats.
He has also claimed 99 wickets in 40 first-class matches, proving to be one of Pakistan’s most promising all-rounders in recent years.
Aamir Jamal endures personal loss
On Wednesday, October 22, Aamir Jamal posted a picture of himself holding his newborn baby’s tiny hands and confirmed that she had passed.
In his touching post, Jamal said, “From Allah, to Allah. I couldn’t hold you longer, my lil angel. Baba & Mama will miss you. May you stay in higher ranks in Heaven.”

The message, filled with pain and love, quickly went viral. Thousands of fans flooded the comments section, expressing their grief and offering prayers for the grieving parents.
Messages of support also came from across the cricketing fraternity, including from former Pakistan women’s team captain Sana Mir.
Aamir Jamal last played for the national team in the two-match Test series against South Africa in January 2025 and is currently part of Lahore Region Whites in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025-26.
Jamal dropped from the PCB contract
Earlier, Aamir Jamal had shared a cryptic Instagram post after being excluded from the PCB central contracts for 2025–26.
Posting a quote that read, “Let them understand you, let them talk, Allah knows…”, Jamal appeared to express disappointment over the decision.
The 29-year-old, who has represented Pakistan in all formats, was among 8 players dropped as the PCB revamped its contract structure, removing Category A and expanding the pool to 30 players across Categories B, C, and D.
