The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has set the stage for a thrilling conclusion to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, with the announcement of the playoffs schedule and confirmation of Chennai as the host city for the finals. All eyes are now on the exciting matchups and the nail-biting finale set to unfold at the iconic Chepauk Stadium.

With Qualifier 1 and Eliminator matches scheduled for May 21 and 22 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, the IPL fever will then shift to Chennai for the remaining showdowns. Qualifier 2 and the much-anticipated final will take place at the electrifying Chepauk Stadium on May 24 and 26 respectively.

Amidst speculations about potential venues, BCCI's decision to host the entire tournament in India reinforces its commitment to the homegrown essence of IPL. This move comes in light of security concerns due to the upcoming Elections, ensuring the safety and seamless execution of the league.

The meticulous planning by the IPL scheduling team ensures a seamless tournament flow, with strategic avoidance of election dates. 

From the onset on April 8, with a clash between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at Chepauk, to the final league game on May 19 in Guwahati between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders.

Furthermore, secondary home venues come into play, with Dharamsala hosting two home games for Punjab Kings, who will face off against Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore on 5th and 9th May, respectively. 

Meanwhile, Guwahati, serving as the secondary base for Rajasthan Royals, will witness two thrilling clashes against Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
