Following their notable performances in the recent T20 international between New Zealand and Pakistan, Mark Chapman and Shaheen Afridi moved up significant places in the revised ICC Men’s T20 Player Rankings.

As New Zealand produced an upset to defeat a full strength Pakistan team in the recently concluded third T20I of the five-game series, Mark Chapman bagged the player of the match award for his prolific 42 ball 87 runs innings.

Having been put into chase a 179 runs challenging total, Chapman kept the supposed best bowling attack in the world at bay to lead his inexperienced side to the finish line.

On the other hand, Shaheen Afridi, the recently sacked T20 captain, won player of the match in the second T20 versus NZ for his impressive three-wicket haul.

Owing to these notable performances, both Chapman and Afridi were awarded in the recently revised ICC Men’s T20 Player rankings.

Mark Chapman moved as many as 12 places to grab the 33rd position in the batters list, whereas Afridi jumped 2 places to land at the 17th spot in the bowler rankings.

Besides these two, Dipendra Airee breached into the top 50 batter rankings list to become the only fourth Nepalese batter to achieve this milestone.

His monumental six-sixes against Qatar and unbeaten 44 against Hong Kong in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Men’s Premier Cup were some notable contributions from Airee in the recent past.

In addition, following their performances in the ACC Men’s Premier Cup, Hong Kong’s Anshuman Rath moved seven places to 70th, and the United Arab Emirates’ Alishan Sharafu also jumped 29 places to 88th among batters.

Nepal’s Sompal Kami moved up 16 places to 92nd among bowlers.
