Brett Lee roped in as NepalT20 mentor

Former Australian speedster Brett Lee has been appointed as the mentor of the upcoming NepalT20. Lee was announced as the mentor of the league during the launching event of S Sixer, the NepalT20 official mobile app. 

In his reaction, Lee expressed his excitement at joining the league as its mentor. He also admitted to being amused by Nepal's budding cricketing talents and expected the league to popularise the game in the country. 

"I am excited to be a part of NepalT20 and S sixer. It's simply amazing to see the talent of cricket here in Nepal and I am confident that NepalT20 will help spread the popularity of cricket in Nepal."

Mr Prashant Malla, the acting secretary of the Cricket Association of Nepal, welcomed Lee gleefully. 

Addressing the New South Wales-born as an inspirational figure, he termed it a massive opportunity for the country's youngsters to learn the game's basics from the legendary fast bowler. 

"We are delighted, excited and honoured by Mr Brett Lee joining as mentor for NepalT20. This will be a big boost not only for the players of NepalT20 but also inspire local talents to pursue their dreams of playing cricket for Nepal."

NepalT20 is a six team-tournament, taking place from September 24 to October 22.
