Bangladesh cricket is once again in the headlines for the wrong reasons as the nation continues to battle off-field issues. As the Bangladesh Premier League is returning with another thrilling season, a bizarre incident from Noakhali Express’ practice season sparked buzz.

Ahead of their big BPL campaign, the Express squad arrived at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium for a routine practice session, but drama unfolded unexpectedly. That incident grabbed attention.

Noakhali camp in chaos as Mahmud and Jubair exit practice midway

After fixing the long growing storm, the Bangladesh Premier League has returned with a thrilling season. As the tournament is set to go live from December 26, another unexpected drama turned heads. Ahead of Noakhali Express’ opening clash against Chattogram Royals, an unexpected twist has ignited buzz and raised eyebrows.

Before facing their first opponent of the upcoming tournament, they reached the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium for a practice session. As all started well, Noakhali’s head coach Khaled Mahmud and assistant coach Talha Jubair left the practice session midway due to limited training facilities.

According to sources, there was a shortage of cricket balls, and this mismanagement just a day before the match left them frustrated. According to The Daily Star, a source said, “An official behaved badly with the coach and he was upset. Mainly there were not enough balls during the practice session and due to some mismanagement, the coaches were upset.”

Noakhali coaches break silence later on

The upcoming BPL continues to take hits, with off-field chaos adding to a growing list of controversies. After walking away from the middle of the practice session, Noakhali coaches opened up. Speaking to the media, the assistant coach blasted the incident, calling it one of the worst experiences he has faced.

“I have been involved in many BPL seasons in my career, but this one has been the most frustrating experience for me. I don’t know what others will do, but I won’t continue like this,” he said.

Just not the assistant coach, head coach Khaled Mahmud voiced frustration. He said, “I can’t do anything today. I’m not in the right mood. We’ll see what happens later."

Just not this kind of unwanted moments, BPL faced another massive woe. Chattogram Royals’ owner pulled out midway, forcing the BCB to step in and take over the franchise, exposing the growing off-field chaos threatening the league’s credibility.
