'Both sides need to play fair': Shamsi backs the 'Mankad' rule

After some controversial allegations and blame games happening over social media, the long-debated Mankad rule was again in the reckoning when Deepti Sharma ran out Charlie Dean with just 17 required for victory.
The pundits were divided over the conflicting views on social media, with some in favour and others against the ruling. While some former Indian players openly backed Deepti for her awareness, their English counterparts seemed unimpressed with the act.
Now, some neutral voices have also chipped in with their input with the likes of Ian Bishop, who is quite supportive of the rule. He, along with a few others, reminded everyone on how important it is to follow the laws of the game effectively.
