Pat Cummins, the Australian skipper has revealed the playing XI for the all-important second Test match against India. The home team has made just one change to the XI that played the Perth Test with Scott Boland replacing injured Josh Hazlewood.

The first Test of the series did not go Australia's way, but Cummins has not tinkered with the line-up and has trusted Nathan McSweeney at the top of the order. The pressure is also on the dup of Marnus Labuschagne and Steven Smith. Both looked out of sorts in the first Test, and Aussies need them to fire to make a strong comeback in the side.

Mitchell Marsh Fit To Play Second Test

Good news for the home team is that Mitchell Marsh who was doubtful for the second Test is fit and will play as an all-rounder in the pink-ball Test. He will the fourth seamer in the squad alongside Mitchell Starc, Scott Boland and skipper Pat Cummins. Nathan Lyon is the lone-spinner in the XI, and the pacers are expected to do the bulk of the work as pink-ball tends to provide more help, especially under lights.

Australia have lost only one day-night Test so far, so they would be high on confidence. Also, they had India on knees when the two teams last faced each other in a Test at the Adelaide Oval, and it would be interesting to see how the battle unfolds this time around. It is also an important Test series in terms of qualification for the WTC final, and after a hiccup in Perth, Aussies would be itching to make a statement in Adelaide.
