The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) met the table-toppers Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday night, where the Royals fell short by one solitary run. Bhuvneshwar Kumar turned the clock and defended 13 runs off the last over against Rovman Powell.

Batting first, SRH posted 201/3, thanks to fifties from Nitish Reddy and Travis Head and a quick-fire 42* from Heinrich Klaasen.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, bowling the first over turned back the years and dismissed both Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson in the very first over as RR found themselves 1/2 after the first over.

Although, with the efforts of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag, RR recovered well. However, Rovman Powell who also had a good cameo was stopped by the veteran pacer on the last ball as the Royals just needed 2 runs.

The pacer ended with 3/41 and was adjudged as Player Of The Match.

Reflecting on the game, Bhuvneshwar said that he just stayed in the moment going in to bowl in the final over and didn't think of the result.

"There was no discussion, he [Pat Cummins] just came and checked if everything was okay. I just focused on the process. I just had to bowl two good balls and if it goes to the last ball, anything could happen. He missed a full-toss but it can happen on the last balls."

Talking about the field restrictions in the last over, and how it could impact the bowler, Bhuvi yet again focused on being detached from the result helping in keeping the nerves calm.

And on his first spell where he turned back the clock and how the players' mindset changed in this season due to the way they have batted.

"I think it was the first time that the ball swung so much. I can't pinpoint when the ball swing [like this] the last time. Enjoyed bowling that spell. When it happens, you are always on the top of the game and you try to take wickets. When the season started, it [the thought process] was different but with the way we batted, with the ball, we practically tried to restrict the teams under 200," Bhuvi added.
