BCCI-Reject Ishan Kishan Opens Cricket Academy In Bihar To Help Youngsters

Out-of-favour Indian cricketer Ishan Kishan was in the news for all the wrong reasons in the past year after getting in the eye of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). However, now, he has been grinding hard in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) for Jharkhand.
The left-hander has suddenly stunned the fans with the news of opening a cricket academy in his hometown, Patna in Bihar while having the ambition of nourishing more youngsters from his state of birth.
Ishan Kishan's New Venture
Not many details have been shared regarding the training facility, but a post on the social media platform Instagram was shared from the page revealing the logo and name of the academy as "Ishan Kishan Academy".
Further, it has been confirmed that the academy will be opened in the Rajbansi Nagar area in the city of Patna. However, the opening date has not been shared yet. Further, the post was captioned,
"A journey of grit, determination, and skill begins. Introducing the official logo of Ishan Kishan Academy, where champions are built."

After not getting considered for the national side, Kishan has been plying his trade for his domestic side, Jharkhand, whom he was representing recently until they were knocked out after the group stage.
The left-hander featured in seven games and smashed 316 runs at an average of 45.14 while striking at a decent 127.93 with as many as 14 sixes in the tournament. His best performance came against Manipur when he smashed 134 off just 78 balls while opening the batting for his side. Moreover, he was picked by SunRisers Hyderabad in the 2025 IPL mega-auction.
Jharkhand, meanwhile, who were a part of group A, finished third with four wins and three losses after accumulating 16 points, which still weren't enough for a place in the knockouts.
