[Watch] Shahid Kapoor Ignores Shahrukh Khan's Team As He Names MI As Favourite In ILT20 2025

Famous Bollywood actor and superstar Shahid Kapoor, who has given hit after hit with his iconic movies, is now gracing the field in UAE during the ongoing ILT20 2025, where he is supporting his favourite side. The 'Jab We Meet' actor recently shared insights about cricket and spoke about the player he favours.

Shahid Kapoor's Favourite Team & Players

Speaking on the social media of ILT20, Kapoor shared that his favourite side in the competition is MI Emirates. The actor who performed in the league's opening ceremony mentioned that he also likes Abu Dhabi Knight Riders' skipper Sunil Narine as a cricketer.

The 43-year-old actor, known to give various hits, explained that he is too old to play a role in a cricketer's biopic after being asked if he would like to depict someone. Further adding that, it's too tiring for him to showcase some athlete's life.

For the unversed, Shahid featured in the star-studded opening night of the ILT20 2025 season 3 on 11th January, where he was accompanied by Pooja Hegde and Sonam Bajwa while also present that night was Jacky Bhagnani.

The event took place at Dubai's Dubai International Cricket Stadium, where many fans were present to witness the exhilarating performances.

ILT20 So Far

The International League T20 or ILT20 when shortened, began in 2023, where six teams participate to earn the coveted trophy. Three out of six sides are owned by IPL franchises whereas the rest are under the control of renowned businesses and companies.

There have been two champions so far, with Gulf Giants winning the inaugural season, whereas MI Emirates, Shahid's favourite team, are the defending champions. Moreover, the league began this year on 11th January, whereas the final would be held on 9th February.
