With each day, BCCI is working hard for the better future of Indian cricket. Adding to this significant development, they are eagerly looking forward to recruiting a spin bowling coach at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
The new coach will take over from Sairaj Bahutule, focusing on strengthening India’s spin attack across all age groups. He will also team up with VVS Laxman at NCA to nurture real talent to shape to produce the best talents.
BCCI In Hunt For A Spin Bowling Coach
After serving as the spin bowling coach at the National Cricket Academy, Sairaj Bahutule has joined the Rajasthan Royals as their spin bowling coach in the IPL 2025. After that, BCCI is hunting for a new face for their spin bowling coach at the NCA. The newly appointed coach will team up with NCA head VVS Laxman.
He will work with men’s and women’s national teams along with India A, under-15, under-16, under-19, and under-23 sides. He will also collaborate with the state association players who will train in the organization.
Adding to that, the coach will look after special cricket programs, closely track players, and collaborate with state and national coaches, analysts, and fitness experts to implement high-performance plans.
What Are The Qualifications For The New Role?
For the crucial role, BCCI is asking for the appropriate one for the new role. As per their requirement, the applicant should be a former Indian player along with experience of playing at least 75 first-class matches in India.
Additionally, they should have three years of coaching experience in the past eleven years with a high-performance team like India Men, India Women, India A, or an international side.
Apart from that, the candidate needs to hold a BCCI COE Level 2 or Level 3 Performance Coach degree. Along with that, the candidate also needs to have an impressive track record of making player growth plans and following up on high performance. BCCI will accept applications until April 10, 2025, at 5 PM.
