Big news for cricket fans, Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam has officially joined the Sydney Sixers for the upcoming Big Bash League (BBL) Season 15. The Sixers shared the update on their official account, writing:
“Babar Azam joins the Sixers for #BBL15. The King has arrived. 👑”
Babar has been signed as a pre-draft international player, which means the Sixers locked him in before the official overseas player draft happens on June 19. According to BBL rules, each team can bring in one international player ahead of the draft and Babar is now that special signing for the Sixers. Notably, this is the first time Babar Azam will be playing BBL.
