In a significant development, Ayush Badoni, the young Delhi all-rounder, has received his maiden call-up to the Indian ODI side. The Indian team suffered another injury setback during the ongoing three-match ODI series against New Zealand.

All-rounder Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the remaining two matches after picking up a side strain during the first ODI, which was played at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara on Sunday, January 11.

Sundar suffered the injury while bowling in the first innings of the match. He looked uncomfortable after a few deliveries and was forced to leave the field. The all-rounder managed to bowl only five overs before walking off due to pain in his left lower rib area.
