The rivalry between India and Australia is one of the most fierce one in the modern era, and India have drawn first blood in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy with a big victory in Perth. India were without Rohit Sharma and Gill in the first Test, but they still managed to pull off an unbelievable triumph with their stand-in skipper Jasprit Bumrah leading from the front.

Now, Rohit Sharma is fit and back at helm while Gill is also set to play in the second Test. However, the home team is struggling with string of injuries now. Josh Hazlewood is out of the second Test and with doubt over Mitchell Marsh's fitness looming large, Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne have also encountered injury scare in the practice session. Smith walked off the field after getting hit by a ball from Marnus Labuschagne, and the intensity of the injury is still unknown.

Labuschagne, on the other hand, was hit by a rising ball from Daniel Vettori, the left-arm spinner who is the assistant coach of Australia. In the video released by the official X handle of RevSportz Global, Marnus Labuschagne is seen in pain after getting hit and is lying on the pitch. However, he is a tough man, and it was evident once again when he started batting again after getting a nasty hit.

The second Test between India and Australia will be played at the Adelaide Oval and is a day-night game. The pink-ball which is used for day-night Tests, moves a lot more than the traditional red-ball and Australia would want their premier batters to fit and raring to go. Both Labuschagne and Steve Smith failed in the Perth Test, but they are the pillars of Aussie batting line-up and the home team needs them to fire to bring themselves back in the series.
