The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday (September 9) confirmed their playing XI for the much-anticipated Asia Cup Super Four match against India, set to be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. As expected, there is no change in the Men in Green lineup, which cruised past Bangladesh by seven wickets in their previous encounter.

Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman will continue to open the innings, and they will be followed by Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan's middle order pillars. Salman Ali Agha, Iftikhar Ahmed, and vice-captain Shadab Khan will bat at Nos. 5, 6, and 7, respectively, while Faheem Ashraf will get another chance to shine ahead of Mohammad Nawaz, who gave up too many runs to India in their previous meeting in the competition.

Meanwhile, the lightning quick pace trio, consisting of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah have retained their place as well.

The weather forecast for Colombo on September 10 does not bode well for the fans. As a result, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) decided to have a reserve day in case the match is called off due to nonstop rain.

Notably, Pakistan did not get a chance to bat a single ball last time against India due to unpleasant weather conditions.
