Asia Cup 2023 | Pakistan Announce Strong Playing 11 For Opening Game vs Nepal

The Pakistan team management have unveiled their playing XI for team’s opening Asia Cup 2023 match against Nepal. As one can expect, Babar Azam will lead the ‘Men in Green’ while Shadab Khan will serve as his deputy.

The team also features fellow veterans Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman, alongside speed guns Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf.

PCB unveil playing XI for match against Nepal

The Pakistan cricket team is set to unleash their strongest line-ups in their Asia Cup 2023 opening game against Nepal. The two nations will collide on August 30 and the match will be played out at the iconic Multan Cricket Ground in Pakistan.

Here is a look at Pakistan’s entire playing XI for the game against Nepal:

Babar Azam (c), Shadab Khan (vc), Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf.

Following the match against Nepal at home, Babar Azam and co. will travel across to Sri Lanka to face arch-rivals India on September 2. The match also marks Pakistan’s conclusion to their Group A campaign, and it will be played at Kandy’s Pallekele International Stadium.

The Indian team, on the other hand, is undergoing their preparation camp in Bengaluru and will fly take flight for Sri Lanka.

Both India and Pakistan last played each other at the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia. Meanwhile, their previous ODI duel occurred more than four years ago at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England.
